Map Versions
Track how your campaign maps evolve over time with non-destructive version snapshots.
What Are Map Versions?
A version is a named snapshot of your map at a specific point in the campaign — for example: Daytime Quiet, Night Ambush, or Post-Siege Fire Damage. Each version stores its own painted layout, prompt descriptions, and generated artwork.
Versions are managed in the Versions panel on the right side of the map editor. Click any version card to switch to it instantly.
Creating & Modifying Versions
Click + Add Version in the Versions panel. Give it a descriptive name — such as "Night Ambush" or "Burned Ruins". The new version starts as a copy of your current layout.
Click Modify Version on any version card to prompt new atmospheric or lighting changes (e.g. "Flooded with dark water, dim torchlight, moss creeping up the walls"). Your underlying room geometry remains intact while the AI renders the updated version artwork.
